Calgary Innovation Week is a city-wide annual event celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry leadership across Calgary. The site serves as a central hub for event programming, nominations, sponsorship information, and attendee engagement.
This project was completed in partnership with Brandhouse, who served as the primary creative direction and strategic lead throughout the engagement.
The website required significant content updates leading into a new event cycle. While the core structure was in place, many pages felt dated and lacked clear visual hierarchy.
Because updates were completed in phases, each redesigned section needed to feel more current and refined while still aligning with pages that had not yet been revised. The work required careful visual continuity so the site could evolve without appearing disjointed.
In addition, the event schedule, nomination process, and sponsorship information needed clearer integration and stronger user pathways to support both attendees and partners.
We updated and redesigned pages in stages, improving layout, clarity, and mobile usability while maintaining cohesion across the site during the transition period.
A new Top Ten landing page was developed to support annual nominations and year-round recognition. The sponsorship page was restructured to reduce visual clutter and better communicate partner value.
The full event scheduling system was integrated directly into the website, allowing attendees to browse sessions and programming seamlessly. HubSpot integration was implemented to streamline nominations and data capture, ensuring smoother backend management for the organizing team.
The result is a more polished and cohesive digital experience that supports Innovation Week’s programming, partners, and long-term growth.
